SOUTH PARK
COMBO:
Here we have monkey bars, 2 x pull up bars, dip bars and a seated leg press (I think that’s what it is?). There are two of these combos in the park - one is at the top of the park, near the university, and the other is at the bottom of the park, nearer the main road.
The pull up bars are bad in every way. They’re too low, too thick, too short and they’re stainless steel.
The monkey bars are a bit shaky. The dip bars are fine. I’m not actually sure the seated leg press is a seated leg press - it’s basically a seat that slides and nobody uses.
DOUBLE PULL UP BAR:
Same problems as above - too thick, too low, too short and stainless steel.
DIP BARS:
Width isn’t bad, but they’re a bit low.
LADDER BARS:
I quite like these. Lots of bars so you’ll be able to find two, that are the perfect distance apart, to train the human flag.
LADDER BARS:
Possibly aimed at kids? Not a fan.
LADDER BARS:
I didn’t realise how many ladders were in this park until I took these pictures.
They could have sacrificed some of these ladders to leave enough space in the budget for some decent pull up bars.
ABS BENCH:
I’ve never used it, but it looks fine for an abs bench.
