FINSBURY PARK (A)

MONKEY BARS:
There are five sets of monkey bars in a row. Loads of bars for all sorts of training.

The bars are galvanised, which gives them a nice grip. They are pretty low, though, so I’m assuming they’re aimed more for children. If I remember correctly, they’re around 7ft tall.

DOUBLE PULL UP BAR:
Wide bars with a nice grip. They’re quite low, but still a decent set of bars.

COMBO:
There are a few pieces in this picture.

The stall bars are at the end of all of the monkey bars. Coming off that, there are four more pull up bars. I’m 5’7 and I used the highest of all of the bars without a problem. Anybody taller than me would definitely struggle to dead hang, though.

DIP BARS:
All of the dip bar set ups I’ve seen in London parks, these are definitely the best.

There are four bars, which is important for freestyle calisthenics. It also means multiple users can use them at once when they’re being used for normal dips etc.

QUAD PULL UP BARS:
This seems to be the most popular piece of equipment in the park.

The galvanised bars are nice to grip and the wide bars mean you can perform various exercises without having to worry about running out of space. The cube design makes this the best set of bars in the park for the freestyle guys. The bars are quite low so if you train with clean form sets, I would recommend using the taller bar near the monkey bars.

PARALLETTE BARS:
It’s quite rare to have these in parks (Primrose Hill is the only park I can think of that has them) and they’re definitely an underrated piece of equipent.

These can be used for anything from L seats to handstands. If you train with muscle group splits, these are where you’ll spend most of your shoulders day.

ABS BENCH:
There are two abs benches; one is flat and one is slightly angled.

I personally don’t use abs benches in my training - if I did, these look fine.
